As the Associate Executive Director, you will be responsible for all branch operations and helping to build a culture that creates an extraordinary member experience, encourages employees and volunteers to serve, and inspires committed donors.
If hired, you will lead program operations including, but not limited to, membership, healthy living, aquatics, youth development, and properties/facilities. This position provides leadership to Y team members, creates meaningful high-quality experiences, and ensures successful daily operations of the branch.
Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, business or equivalent (preferred).
Five or more years of management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency, with experience in volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of branch budget, marketing and public relations, and program development (preferred).
Knowledge and working understanding of all program areas.
Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
YMCA Multi-Team or Branch Leader certification (preferred).
YMCA Lifeguard or equivalent, CPR for the Professional, AED First Aid, and Oxygen certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days.
Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required.
Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act).
