In the absence of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in media, mass communications, journalism, English, or a related field, an Associate's degree and seven (7) years of experience in producing and directing television programs is qualifying.
In the absence of an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in media, mass communications, journalism, English, or a related field, an Associate's degree and nine (9) years of experience in producing and directing television programs is qualifying.

The district partners with American Fidelity to administer the district's voluntary benefit plans which include:
PRE-TAX RETIREMENT SAVINGS PLAN - As a district employee, you have two voluntary retirement savings plans available to you, which allow you to invest pre-tax dollars to supplement your CalPERS Retirement Plan benefit. They are a 403(b) plan or 457(b) plan.
You may participate in one or both of the plans. Each is governed by a different section of the IRS Code resulting in different rules and provisions. SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union is the districts third party administrators for all retirement savings plans.
RETIREMENT PLANS
CalPERS Retirement Plan - The California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) is a defined benefit retirement plan that provides lifetime benefits based on members' years of service, age, and final compensation. Full-time employees in non-academic positions appointed for at least six months, or part-time employees working at least 50% and appointed for at least one year, are automatically enrolled in the CalPERS retirement plan. - Produces and directs television programs for the District owned television station; directs programs live or on tape in the studio or in the field; produces and directs programs, on air promotions, and public service announcements.
- Shoots and/or edits video for a variety of programs, underwriters, promotions, and related television materials.
- Develops new program ideas by contacting a wide variety of experts and researching topics using a variety of sources; compiles, organizes, and prepares proposals for new programs.
- Designs and prepares sets, lighting schemes, scenery, and props for productions.
- Develops and writes scripts for programs; selects performers and guests as assigned.
- Coordinates program publicity, budgets, permits and agreements.
- Coordinates the work of production crews and talent.
- Consults with and provides technical assistance to faculty and staff related to the production of television programs.
- Operates and maintains a variety of television equipment including computers, editing equipment, camcorders, video switchers, and related equipment.
- Prepares and maintains a variety of reports and logs related to production activities.
- Performs other duties related to the primary job duties.
