Who we are

Geotab is a global leader in IoT and connected transportation. We create web‑based analytics that help customers better manage their fleets, improve productivity, optimize fuel consumption, enhance driver safety and achieve regulatory compliance. Our diverse team works together to innovate, grow and make communities safer and more sustainable.

Who you are

As the AVP of Core User Experience you are a product executive who sees the interface as the product. You understand SaaS lifecycles and view the userfacing layer as the primary driver of value, adoption and customer satisfaction. You bring order to complexity, balance consistency and flexibility, mentor senior managers, bridge design and engineering, and champion modern frontend architectures such as React and Design Systems.

What you’ll do

  • Own the strategic vision and execution for the foundational application layers of MyGeotab (Web) and Geotab Drive (Mobile).
  • Lead a portfolio that binds the Geotab ecosystem, ensuring a seamless, high‑quality, and performant experience for millions of users.
  • Manage and align a team of product leaders responsible for the front‑of‑house functionality: Asset Management, Map Interfaces, Global Navigation, Rules Engines, and Onboarding.
  • Partner with the AVP of Product Design to rationalize a complex roadmap and drive transition from legacy interfaces to modern, responsive frameworks.
  • Oversee the strategy for Mobile, ensuring experience continuity between the web platform and the driver app.
  • Define “Quality” in the Geotab user experience and establish SaaS metrics to measure it.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Define the roadmap for the Core UX portfolio, prioritizing high‑impact shared components (Menu, Dashboard, Maps).
  • Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing team of Product Managers.
  • Establish and own metrics for UX quality (e.g., Time‑to‑Task, System Usability Scores).
  • Oversee product strategy for both MyGeotab web platform and Geotab Drive mobile app, ensuring consistency in quality, performance and brand alignment.
  • Partner with Engineering Directors to drive migration to modern frontend frameworks (React) and champion adoption of the internal Design System.
  • Act as the “voice of the user” in executive forums, balancing technical needs with commercial requirements.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • 10–12 years in product management, focusing on SaaS applications and User Experience.
  • 8+ years of leadership experience, managing managers and leading complex product organizations.
  • Post‑secondary Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Master’s Degree or MBA highly valued.
  • Deep understanding of frontend product lifecycles and experience managing UI/UX‑core products.
  • Strong familiarity with modern frontend technologies (React, React Native, mobile frameworks) and Design System governance.
  • Experience using data to drive behavioral change and product improvements (A/B testing, user journey analysis).
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable in a flat organization.

If you got this far, we hope you’re excited about this role! Even if you don’t meet every single requirement, we encourage you to apply.
