Job Description Summary
The PayPal Developer Relations (DevRel) team is transforming! PayPal for Developers is not business as usual. We reflect the world developers live and work in, know what theyre into, at any role or level of expertise. Were the source of trust for developers that look for best practices, documentation and training, as well as the main point of contact for internal engineering teams who needs to understand the feedback and experiences of the developer community. This is a global role, and you will be part of a quirky, diverse, passionate and innovative Developer Relations team thats redefining PayPal with differentiated programs and services. You will manage a team that will create, implement and scale premier engaging content for developers, build creative GTM campaigns and execution programs, and drive customer & market awareness and engagement. We want to change the way PayPal speaks to developers, and you will be the main driver of that messaging. The primary role of the Head of Developer Marketing is to plan, direct, promote and evaluate developer marketing campaigns and programs from beginning to end, including developer product launches, partnerships with 3rd party vendors, and awareness of technical content. You will determine tool needs and ensure automation to reach maximum efficiency. You will work with crossfunctional teams to plan, promote and drive awareness and adoption of developer services and programs across PayPal. The Head of Developer Marketing will also support the development of process improvement and standard operating procedures to achieve our effectiveness goals. This is a critical role and will report directly to the VP of Global Developer Relations.
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop insights and conduct market analysis to inform product strategy and positioning
- Create and refine value proposition narratives tailored to market segments
- Monitor and analyze competition to identify opportunities and threats
- Collect and validate customer feedback to guide product development
- Lead early detection and resolution of customer issues to improve satisfaction
- Oversee performance tracking through instrumentation and dashboarding
- Translate insights into actionable recommendations for product enhancements
- Drive the execution of key initiatives and gotomarket strategies
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to deliver impactful merchant solutions
- Lead regional product marketing initiatives to align with business objectives
Expected Qualifications
- 10+ years relevant experience and a Bachelors degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
