Marine Service Writer

At Dubbert's Outdrive, we take pride in keeping our customers safely on the water, and we're looking for a Marine Service Writer to be the friendly, organized connection between our service team and the boaters we serve. This full-time, year-round position plays a key role in ensuring our service department runs smoothly, efficiently, and with excellent customer care. Schedule: Monday -- Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with occasional Saturdays

What You'll Do

As our Marine Service Writer, you will be the first point of contact for customers needing service on their boats and marine equipment. You'll help gather information, schedule work, and keep customers informed while working closely with our technicians. Key responsibilities include:

• Greeting customers and listening carefully to service needs
• Writing and processing service orders and repair tickets
• Scheduling and coordinating service appointments
• Communicating repair updates and timelines to customers
• Organizing service paperwork and maintaining accurate records
• Supporting the service department to keep daily operations running efficiently

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who is dependable, organized, and enjoys working with people. Qualifications include:

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Excellent organization and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of marine equipment and basic engines is preferred, but not required
