Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and spiritually mature Children's Ministry Director to lead and oversee the spiritual formation of children from birth through 6th grade at Bethesda Baptist Church in Ellerslie, Ga.
With a genuine love for children and families, the Children’s Director will inspire, equip, and challenge our youngest generation to grow as disciples of Jesus while partnering with parents and leading volunteers.
This role includes weekly leadership of Sunday School Children's Church, and Nursery, as well as Wednesday evening programs, family outreach events, and seasonal events / celebrations.
The Children’s Director reports to the Senior Pastor, serves as part of the church staff team, and is a functioning member of the body at Bethesda.

Responsibilities
Create, implement, and lead ministry and programming to children that invites and encourages them to encounter Jesus Christ, grow in their faith, and join him in his work in the world.
Coordination and support of volunteers in their ministry with children.
Facilitate Sunday morning and Wednesday evening children's programs with volunteers which includes set-up, check-in, Bible teaching, crafts, games, ensuring safety, interacting with parents, etc.
Participate in training, enrichment and planning opportunities with our volunteers, staff, and other interns.
Plan and implement celebrations, events, and camps for kids and families.
Administrative duties such as designing and printing flyers, calendaring, running database reports, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Participate in corporate worship at BBC.

Has and maintains a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord.
Strives to live missionally through personal evangelism.
Is committed to maintaining a moral and spiritual lifestyle according to Scripture.
Must believe and follow the beliefs, core values, and vision of BBC.
Is willing to work in harmony with ministers, support staff, and volunteer ministry leaders.
Manifests a heart and passion for Children's Ministry.
Has good organizational skills and pays close attention to detail.
Has good communication skills with parents and children.
Is able to work on multiple tasks and is flexible and hard working.
Must be willing to do frequent walking, standing, stooping, bending, and lifting.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Will support the ministry and leadership of BBC through prayer.
