About the role: The Director – Channel Systems Engineering leads the channel technical organization, managing a team of Channel Systems Engineers aligned to strategic partners. The role ensures partners are technically enabled, architecturally aligned, and consistently successful delivering Veeam solutions. A key responsibility is acting as the technical connector across Veeam Field Sales, Alliances, and Partner teams to drive unified technical and GTM execution. The Director operates with high autonomy and influences outcomes across Channel, Sales, Product, Engineering, and Systems Engineering.

What you will do Leadership & Team Development Lead and develop Channel Systems Engineers supporting strategic partners. Ensure consistent technical support, solution design, and architectural guidance. Set clear expectations, standards, and operating rhythms. Build a culture focused on partner success and disciplined execution.

Opportunity-Level Orchestration Serve as the primary technical connector across Field Sales, Alliances, and Partner SE teams. Ensure each major opportunity has a unified technical and GTM plan. Clarify roles, ownership, and escalation paths; reduce friction and duplication.

Strategic Channel Execution Lead channel SE strategy across a region or segment. Align technical engagement with company goals, partner GTM motions, and market dynamics. Translate strategy into repeatable execution models and drive operational excellence.

Technical, Data Resilience & AI Leadership Set the technical bar for channel SE engagement across resilience, cyber recovery, and platform architectures. Ensure teams can articulate how resilient, secure, governed data enables cloud, analytics, and AI. Support executive partner and customer conversations on cyber risk and modernization. Provide field insight to influence product and GTM strategy.

Cross-Functional & GTM Impact Partner with senior leaders across Channel, Sales, Alliances, Product, Engineering, and Marketing. Strengthen strategic partner relationships and support joint solutions and complex opportunities. Represent channel SE leadership in executive forums.

Data Resilience, AI & DSPM Context Demonstrate strong understanding of data resilience, AI readiness, and DSPM concepts. Connect data security, governance, and resilience to enterprise risk and AI integrity.

What you will get 15+ years in pre-sales systems engineering, solutions architecture, or enterprise technology. 8+ years leading managers or senior technical professionals. Proven success influencing across matrixed organizations and partner ecosystems. Strong background in infrastructure, data platforms, security, and resilience. Executive-level communication skills with C‑suite engagement. Willingness to travel 50–70%.

Compensation Transparency Veeam is committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation. For this role, the compensation range below reflects the expected total target compensation (TTC), inclusive of base pay and a competitive performance-based bonus. For roles with a commission plan, the compensation range represents On Target Earnings (OTE), which includes base salary plus variable commission. When determining compensation, Veeam takes into consideration factors such as experience, education, skills, and geographic zone. Offers are typically made below the midpoint of the range.

In addition to compensation, Veeam provides a comprehensive benefits package, including health coverage, retirement plans, and unlimited time off.

U.S. Geographic Zones & Compensation Ranges (TTC / OTE) Zone 1: San Francisco Bay Area, New York City Boroughs — $302,900 — $562,600 USD Zone 2: Washington, California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area) — $277,700 — $515,800 USD Zone 3: Texas, Illinois, North Carolina, Colorado, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Oregon, Nevada, Hawaii, New York (excluding NYC boroughs); Sales roles located in Georgia, Ohio, and Arizona — $252,500 — $468,800 USD Zone 4: All other US locations — $219,600 — $407,900 USD
