RESERVOIR
RESERVOIR builds on-farm startup incubators where breakthrough AgTech applications and Physical AI capabilities get tested, proven, and scaled in real farm conditions. Our Reservoir Farms are full-time proving grounds for robotics, automation, and applied technology in specialty crops—used daily by founders, engineers, growers, and corporate partners.
The Role We are hiring a Startup Incubator Lead to run day-to-day operations at our Merced Reservoir Farms site and serve as a force multiplier for the agtech startups building there.
This is a career-launch role for an early-career, high-energy operator who wants to be at the center of agtech innovation. You will work directly with startup founders, growers, engineers, and RESERVOIR leadership—helping new technologies move from prototype to real-world deployment.
If you bring energy, ideas, and ownership mentality, this role provides a platform to grow fast.
What You’ll Do Startup Platform Operations
Be the on-site operational lead for early-stage agtech startups testing and deploying technology.
Remove friction for founders by coordinating field access, logistics, and execution.
Translate farm realities into clear operational plans that help startups move faster.
Hands-On Field Execution
Lead daily site operations, field schedules, and deployment coordination.
Support equipment setup, troubleshooting, light fabrication, and shop work.
Maintain a safe, organized, and high-functioning environment for multiple teams.
Ecosystem & Community Energy
Build strong relationships with growers, industry partners, and local institutions.
Host demos, field days, and visits that showcase emerging technology.
Help make Reservoir Farms a place ambitious people want to be.
Who This Is For This role is intentionally designed for early-career, high-potential candidates.
We’re looking for people with:
~6–8 years of combined experience across education and hands‑on work (e.g., Bachelor’s + Master’s, or school + farm/shop/startup experience)
Strong interest in agtech, robotics, automation, or applied technology in agriculture
Comfort working in the field, in a shop, and with startup teams
High energy, curiosity, and the confidence to take initiative
A builder’s mindset: see a problem, take ownership, drive a solution
Backgrounds we value:
Agriculture, ag engineering, ag systems, or related technical fields
FFA, 4‑H, farm‑raised, or shop‑trained experience
Exposure to startups (internships, early teams, pilots) is a plus
We are willing to train the right person. Hunger, reliability, and follow‑through matter more than a perfect resume.
Why This Role Is a Launchpad
Daily exposure to venture‑backed agtech startups and their founders
Hands‑on experience deploying cutting‑edge technology in real farms
Direct relationships with growers, corporate partners, and investors
Clear growth path as RESERVOIR expands to additional sites
Real responsibility and autonomy from day one
Base salary up to $100,000
Performance bonus
Opportunity to grow into expanded leadership roles over time
