Summary Employee is responsible for opening new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, cross selling bank products and services, providing quality customer service to further customer relations and support the Branch Manager with branch operations as needed.
Essential Functions
Meet and greet customers.
Open and process new accounts, including DDA, money market, savings, CD and IRA’s.
Order checks, debit cards and other ancillary products related to customer accounts.
Cross-sell the bank’s services and products.
Analyzing current customer relationships and proactively contacting customers with recommendations to help them achieve financial success
Participate in market efforts to proactively solicit new customer relationships to the bank.
Research and answer customer inquiries; quote products and rates.
Assist in answering the telephone and transferring calls to the appropriate personnel.
Research and verify account information, and resolve problems for customers as necessary.
Additional Responsibilities
Accepts deposits, verifying cash and endorsements, and issues receipts
Cashes checks.
Redeems U.S. Savings Bonds
Issues money orders and cashier’s checks
Accepts loan payments
Balances transactions at end of day and verifies cash totals.
May assist with vault maintenance
Support loan administrative assistants with duties as assigned
Provide support services for any mortgage warehouse duties within the branch
Performs other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications Required Education, Experience, and Skills
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
1 to 3 years of Bank new account experience preferred
Mortgage banking or processing experience preferred.
Interpersonal skills to represent the Bank in a positive way in dealing with customers and other employees.
Cash handling accuracy
Ability to operate on-line teller terminal and other standard office equipment
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
