ORGANIZATION
Tribal Education Departments National Assembly (TEDNA) is a Native-led nonprofit organization that has been serving Tribal Education Departments/Agencies (TEDs/TEAs) since 2003.
ROLE OVERVIEW Tedna seeks a qualified Education Specialist who enjoys interacting with and supports Native American students in grades 9-12.
The ideal candidate must have the following qualities:
Strong Interpersonal Skills
Professional communication skills (written and verbal)
Proficiency with web-based tools and resources
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Enjoy working in a team environment
Key Attributes
Self-driven/motivation
Ability to organize and to research best practices/methods
Understanding and adherence to time-sensitive deadlines
Available for occasional evening and weekend events
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with students and families toward college and career readiness goals
Travel daily to school sites
Work in collaboration with LEAs and TEAs
Attend and participate in family engagement events
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide mandatory reports to TEAs and supervisors
Attend meetings and training courses for the position as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
COMPENSATION
Salary is negotiablebased on experience and education
