Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Underwriter based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The Underwriter will evaluate insurance applications, assess risks, analyze client information, and determine appropriate coverage terms and pricing. Responsibilities include creating tailored insurance solutions, preparing quotes, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards. The Underwriter will work collaboratively with other departments to deliver exceptional service to clients and contribute to the growth of the organization.
Qualifications Strong analytical and evaluation skills for assessing risks and underwriting policies Proficiency in communication and relationship management to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams Experience with insurance and underwriting principles, standards, and regulatory requirements Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities Proficiency in industry-specific software and technology tools Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field Previous experience in underwriting or a related role, with a preference for specialty insurance experience Ability to work on-site and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment
