Good Shepherd Church exists to bring Hope to all people, Help to Sacramento, and Healing to the world. Founded in 1951, Good Shepherd is a diverse, multi-generational, congregation with three distinct worship services weekly. It is also home to GS Studios, an audio and visual recording studio, and GS Preschool, a parent co-op preschool.

CREATIVE ARTS DIRECTOR Good Shepherd has spent significant time cultivating a vibrant atmosphere of Holy Spirit centered worship, one that is mindful of multiple generations worshiping together and the unique building in which we worship. Good Shepherd is a historically Lutheran congregation that is Holy Spirit filled and centered on Jesus Christ. We are praying for a Creative Arts Director who will continue this focus with excellence and intentionality.

Good Shepherd strives for worship that both welcomes and eagerly anticipates a powerful move of the Holy Spirit. We seek maximum congregational participation rather than presentational or performance-oriented approaches. With these goals in mind, the Creative Arts Director is first responsible for planning and producing up to three weekly worship services which feature diverse musical style and content, as well as special events, holiday services, and memorial services.

Additionally, the Creative Arts Director is responsible for:

Leading Good Shepherd’s technical team which provides sound, lighting, and video reinforcement campuswide, and for audio/visual productions

Continuing the growth of a creative culture within Good Shepherd

Managing “GS Studios”, our in-house audio and visual recording facilities. This includes overseeing staff, ensuring that studio bookings align with GS values, and leading in a way that empowers staff, sound engineers, and videographers to view this as a ministry

Managing “Haven Gallery”, our in-house, retreat oriented, art space. This includes overseeing the displays, cultivating the artistic environment, and clear integration with GS Church creatives
