A leadership opportunity is available for an Interim Director of Pharmacy at a 70-bed Long-Term Acute Care hospital in the Carlsbad, CA area. This contract position is ideal for an experienced pharmacist ready to oversee pharmacy operations and serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for the facility. The assignment is scheduled for approximately 13 weeks, with potential to transition to a permanent role. Key Responsibilities: Manage and supervise all pharmacy activities at the hospital Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards Coordinate with clinical staff to optimize medication therapy and patient care Oversee inventory management, budgeting, and staff scheduling Utilize RX Connect IT system for pharmacy operations Qualifications: Active California pharmacist license is required Proven experience as Director of Pharmacy in California healthcare settings Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Familiarity with LTAC hospital pharmacy operations preferred Schedule: Monday through Friday, day shift Benefits: Contract duration of 13 weeks with flexibility for temp-to-hire Assistance with hotel, car rental, and flight expenses (at cost) This opportunity is available immediately for qualified candidates who meet the licensing and experience requirements.
