An opportunity is available for an experienced professional to lead pharmacy operations as the Interim Director of Pharmacy at a 70-bed Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital located in Southern California. This role requires oversight of the pharmacy department and serving as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for the site, ensuring compliance, safety, and effective medication management. Responsibilities include: Managing daily pharmacy operations and workflow efficiency Providing leadership and guidance to pharmacy staff Ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to healthcare standards Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care Utilizing RX Connect IT systems for pharmacy management Serving as PIC for the facility Ideal candidates will possess: A valid California pharmacist license Proven experience as a Director of Pharmacy within California healthcare settings Strong leadership and communication skills Familiarity with pharmacy operations in a hospital or LTAC environment Knowledge of regulatory requirements specific to California pharmacies Schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime shifts This position is offered as a 13-week contract with the possibility of conversion to a permanent role. Relocation or travel support can be provided, including hotel, car rental, and flight costs at expense.
