WHAT YOU'LL DO The Director of Administration provides strategic and operational leadership across all administrative functions within TSG Operations. This includes oversight of Order Tracking/Administration, Shipping/Receiving & Warehousing, Purchasing, Administrative Support Staff, Facility Management, TSG payroll inputs & Time Reporting (including Prevailing Wage), and the Bid Desk. This position ensures operational excellence, drives workflow improvements, enhances internal controls, and supports the overall growth and profitability of the Company. In this role, you will:
Provide strong leadership to administrative teams, including selecting, mentoring, developing, and evaluating staff.
Lead communication and coordination across administrative functions and departments to ensure operational alignment.
Ensure Purchasing processes orders with accuracy, cost controls, and proper coordination.
Oversee Bid Desk operations to ensure efficient and accurate bid/proposal processing, and support overflow needs.
Develop departmental objectives, operational plans, budgets, and performance standards; drive continuous improvement.
Assist the VP of Operations in establishing and managing departmental budgets.
Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and recommend enhancements to improve effectiveness.
Manage compliance with Purchasing Contracts, including State Contracts, E‑Rate, and Consortiums.
Maintain audit readiness and lead business‑side audits when needed.
Track and maintain business and professional licensing across operating states.
Manage contracts, perform contract reviews, and liaise with MGT Legal as required.
Serve as an authorized signer for contracts within approved authority.
Partner with People & Culture and the HR Business Partner on workforce planning and employee relations.
Coordinate with leadership on facility planning, space allocation, safety, and operational facility needs.
Develop and maintain business continuity plans for critical administrative functions.
Serve as a delegated backup to the Vice President of Operations.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Bachelor’s degree in business preferred.
MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.
Five (5) or more years of experience in administration, operations, business planning, or sales support, including purchasing, inventory control, facilities, order administration, and warehousing.
Experience developing/managing budgets and performance metrics.
Demonstrated advancement in operational leadership roles within a VAR, service provider, or systems integrator.
Experience leading multi‑functional operational teams; process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) preferred.
ERP or procurement system experience preferred.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities.
Ability to foster a result‑driven, team‑oriented environment.
Strong coaching and talent‑development skills.
Ability to plan and manage both strategic and operational functions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and delegation abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong problem‑solving abilities.
Working knowledge of Salesforce.
