Role Description ●

Nursing Staff Supervision & Management Oversee all personnel providing direct client care in both the group home and APD sides of the agency. Directly or through qualified subordinates, manage all personnel providing direct client care. Ensure that all nursing and care staff adhere to the professional standards of community nursing and home health care. Evaluate nursing personnel on their performance and conduct competency assessments for direct care staff. Oversee the retention of qualified and competent staff, assisting with Human Resources management as necessary. Work closely with HR and SC/FDS to verify new hire documentation (I-9, background checks, licensure verification). Approve initial shift assignments for new hires in coordination with ADON and SC/FDS. Track 30-day, 60-day, and 90-day performance reviews for new nursing hires. Ensure shift scheduling aligns with fair rotation policies for weekends and holidays. ●

Client Care Oversight Ensure the safe delivery of home health services to group home residents and APD patients. Oversee case management, assignment, and service coordination, ensuring they align with the client’s plan of care and medical regimen. Guarantee the confidentiality of client health information at all times. Ensure that nursing services provided are adequate, appropriate, and consistent with the agency’s policies. Oversee the review and resolution of patient visit scheduling conflicts in collaboration with SC/FDS. Approve overtime requests and ensure compliance with labor laws. Investigate patient complaints related to nursing care and coordinate corrective action plans. ●

Policy Development & Compliance Establish and maintain service policies and procedures for both group home and APD services that align with CDC and OSHA guidelines. Ensure that the agency’s client care policies are regularly updated and in compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Implement and maintain the agency’s Infection Control Program across both divisions to ensure safe and compliant operations. Ensure new hire training completion is tracked in compliance with APD, HIPAA, and infection control policies. Conduct bi-annual nursing competency assessments in collaboration with ADON. Ensure compliance with state-mandated training renewals (HIPAA, CPR, Zero Tolerance, etc.). ●

Performance Improvement & Quality Assurance Lead the agency’s Performance Improvement Program and quality assurance initiatives for both group home and APD services. Conduct regular evaluations of service quality and nursing care, implementing improvements as needed to maintain high standards. Participate in the orientation and development of new staff to ensure consistent understanding of agency policies and care protocols. Monitor and review nurse documentation in KanTime to ensure accuracy and completeness. Lead annual compliance audits to ensure adherence to state and federal healthcare regulations. Oversee implementation of Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) for nursing staff with performance deficiencies.



Health Care Practices & Training Ensure all nursing personnel are kept up to date on current health care practices and that these practices are consistently implemented. Perform competency assessments and performance reviews of nursing staff across the group home and APD sides. Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities to nursing personnel. ●

On-Call Responsibilities Serve as the 24/7 on-call support for staff call-outs, ensuring continuous care and coverage for the agency’s operations.

Qualifications Strong expertise in Nursing, Medicine, and Long-term Care (Required) Proven experience in Nursing Management and coordinating teams (minimum 3 years) Knowledge and experience in Infection Control processes and best practices Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills (Required) Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida (Required) Experience with Medicaid and private insurance policies is a plus Commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality care (Required)
