Job Description
The Global Sourcing Director, Facilities/Global Real Estate/Plant Repair and Maintenance is responsible for developing world class strategy, processes and tools designed to deliver outstanding business results and deliver an annual operating plan for savings, working capital improvements as well as service delivery excellence. This role has direct impact on the financial performance of the businesses through the delivery of cost savings and cash/working capital improvement. This position is directly responsible for Honeywell's total global Facilities/Global Real Estate/Plant Repair and Maintenance procurement strategy, execution and results across Honeywell.
You will report directly to our Senior Director of Indirect Sourcing and will work out of our Charlotte, North Carolina location on a hybrid 3/5 work schedule.
Responsibilities Main Responsibilities:
Direct responsibility for leveraging annual global Facilities/Global Real Estate/Plant Repair & Maintenance spend (approximately $750M) across SBG's, CoEs and Corporate, and is accountable for delivery of annual gross savings in alignment with the business goals.
Develop and drive Honeywell's global Facilities/Global Real Estate/Plant Repair & Maintenance procurement strategy to deliver a "one Honeywell" procurement approach for current and future business requirements.
Partner with SBG CPO's, ISC VP's, Functional leaders, site leaders and other key stakeholders to ensure lowest cost of ownership as well as optimum service levels.
Deliver business results including productivity, working capital improvement, supplier performance (quality and delivery) and continuity of supply base.
Develop & implement strategies to enable global spend leverage, competitive pricing, quality, delivery and risk management with the supply base.
Consolidate fragmented global spend, reduce the utilization of non-strategic suppliers, and move the Procurement activities upstream in the lifecycle for a solution in order to bring greater value to Honeywell.
Negotiate strategic agreements with Facilities/Global Real Estate/Plant Repair & Maintenance suppliers to maximize the benefits to Honeywell and synergize Procurement efforts across SBGs and regions.
Identify and develop new/current global & regional suppliers who have the capacity and capability to meet the cost, quality and service needs of the business.
Understand competitive trends in Facilities/Global Real Estate/Plant Repair & Maintenance markets for alternate services to ensure Honeywell has the "right" competitive supply solutions.
Facilitate timely flow of information, technical and market, between supply base and internal customers.
Lead cross-functional teams, formulate and execute strategies to leverage supplier capabilities.
Lead supplier development/performance and supply base management for the entire Facilities/Global Real Estate category globally & regionally, driving a One Honeywell approach.
Lead, develop, coach, mentor, & support team direct reports and subsequent organization below.
Develop and drive a procurement talent management process including the development of talent pipelines for the Facilities/Global Real Estate Procurement team.
Develop and implement procurement-related training programs for the Facilities/Global Real Estate procurement team.
Ensure global policy compliance.
Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE
10+ years strategic sourcing experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Supply Chain or Business
Minimum 5 years leadership experience in Supply Management/Sourcing/Procurement including strong managerial and leadership skills to work across all functions and levels of an organization
Experience with Integrated Facility Management vendors (IFM) and plant repair and maintenance vendors
WE VALUE
MBA/Masters Degree preferred
In-depth knowledge of sourcing, strategic sourcing processes, negotiation experience
Significant experience in Facilities/Global Real Estate/Plant maintenance procurement, sourcing and/or supply chain
Ability to make data-driven decisions
Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to manage / lead multiple projects and changing priorities
Multi-site procurement experience (negotiations, key suppliers and contracting)
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred
Ability to multi-task projects and assess priorities in a complex and demanding environment
Demonstrated Leadership experience in Strategic Procurement with broad experience in overall sourcing to facilitate meeting and anticipating the needs of the business, with the ability to effectively work with Senior Business leaders
Strategic thinking skills including an ability to make sound business judgments related to strategic supply philosophies and initiatives
Demonstrated program management skills and ability to drive projects to completion
Working knowledge of finance and/or accounting in terms of budgeting, cost management, financial accounting, supply chain financing, treasury, risk management, etc
Technical skills including strong negotiation skills; excellent knowledge of operations management and supply chain processes in a large organization; and knowledge of effective technology driven-sourcing processes
Excellent communication skills and even better listening skills to develop, communicate and administer procurement team performance and development plans and appraisals
