Physical Therapist Assistant
The staff Physical Therapist Assistant functions under the supervision of the rehabilitation leadership team and the department director. The Physical Therapist Assistant provides direct patient/client care under general supervision of the therapist responsible for the specific patient's/client's plan of care. The staff Physical Therapist Assistant assumes responsibility and accountability for providing physical therapy treatment as determined by a plan of care established by a Physical Therapist in accordance with established hospital and departmental policies, maintaining the highest degree of quality patient care. Required Qualifications: Coursework/Training Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant school Upon hire: Washington Physical Therapy Assistant License Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association Within 30 days of hire: Medicare National Provider Identification Number (NPI) Specialized physical therapy training or experience to meet a particular department need may be required.
