Responsibilities
Laboratory Director is overall responsible for management of the laboratory department. Ensures accurate and efficient performance of chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests, and that the results are reported in a timely manner. Keeps informed of developments in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Supervises laboratory personnel.
Qualifications EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in a life science or related field from an accredited college or university required.
Master's degree in related field from an accredited college or university preferred.
Five (5) to Seven (7) years of clinical experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) required.
Minimum three (3) years of leadership experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or in related field required, acute care experience preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES Current Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) License in the State of California.
