The Admissions Representative is responsible for selectively screening, interviewing and enrolling prospective students and guiding them through the enrollment completion process.
Responsibilities
Conduct personal interviews to qualify prospective students and explain the academic programs at Hondros College of Nursing; advise on requirements to meet Hondros College of Nursing’s admissions requirements
Act as liaison with other campus departments to ensure student enrollment is efficient and delivered with a high degree of customer services
Understand and apply the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of the admissions department and Hondros College of Nursing
Use all approved marketing and recruiting tools to educate prospective students about Hondros College
Use an active listening and consultative approach to create a value proposition aligning prospective student needs to the college and its offerings
Carefully assess all prospective students to ensure they have the potential, traits, characteristics, and meet the admissions criteria to qualify for admission consideration
Complete the applicant qualification process to determine student eligibility for admission by reviewing entrance examination scores
Fully understand Hondros College of Nursing’s financing sources to convey basic program eligibility requirements; refer students to the financial aid department as appropriate to ensure the prospective student understands all financial options
Ensure that satisfactory enrollment agreements are completed with each enrolled student in regards to proof of education, licensure, test scores, transferable courses and other enrollment variables that support students’ enrollments Participate as a team member of the campus admissions department by understanding team dynamics, rules, and principles; work diligently and willingly towards the department plan and objectives
Participate and assist with on and off campus recruiting events; i.e. information sessions, college/career fairs, campus‑based open houses and industry update meetings
Requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interact with a variety of individuals at various organizational levels
Ability to identify and assess educational needs for prospective students and provide recommendations
Ability to identify and resolve escalated issues or recommend solutions
Ability to establish and meet deadlines
Ability to interpret federal and state regulations and ensure compliance
Three years customer service experience and/or sales related experience preferred
Education
Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Associate's required
