Job Description Summary The Military Field Service Representative (FSR) located in Tolemaida, Colombia, will support the Colombian military in their operation, management, repair, installation, and maintenance of assigned GE equipment for starting up and operating a T700 engine depot. In this role, the FSR will act as a liaison between GE Aerospace and the customer. Candidates must be mobile to meet the needs of the customer, program and business.

Site, Business, or Functional Area Overview This role supports the startup and sustained operation of a T700 engine depot in Tolemaida, Colombia, serving the Colombian military’s helicopter fleet. The Field Service organization is focused on operational readiness, on‑time delivery, and cost‑effective maintenance solutions that meet contractual and mission requirements.

Role Overview The Military Field Service Representative (FSR) will serve as GE Aerospace’s on‑site liaison to the Colombian military, supporting depot startup and ongoing repair, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities for T700 turboshaft engines. The FSR will coordinate technical support, drive issue resolution, and enable customer success while meeting contractual, safety, and quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the single point of contact to the customer for timely resolution of depot‑level tooling, maintenance, repair, and engine management concerns

Establish and maintain strong on‑site relationships to provide ongoing technical and business support

Provide hands‑on technical assistance leveraging in‑depth knowledge of T700 installation, operation, and troubleshooting to keep the customer on schedule

Use disciplined analytical methods to drive root‑cause analysis; create presentations and spreadsheets (including pivot tables and Pareto charts) to track issues and implement lasting corrective actions

Exercise sound judgment to propose solutions beyond set parameters for complex maintenance and troubleshooting scenarios, drawing on internal and external resources

Lead low‑risk projects and serve as a resource for colleagues; explain technical concepts and build consensus across maintenance, engineering, and management stakeholders

Uphold and promote safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives; ensure compliance with export control and security requirements

Required Qualifications

Fluent in Spanish and English (reading, writing, and speaking)

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; or a high school diploma/GED plus a minimum of 4 years in a field service representative or jet engine maintenance role

Minimum 3 years of field maintenance, modification, and repair experience on T700 engines

Strong oral and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems

Ability and willingness to travel as required

Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance

Desired Characteristics

5+ years of hands‑on turboshaft engine maintenance experience

T700 experience across depot, organizational, intermediate, and flight line troubleshooting levels

Strong customer interaction and communication skills; proven leadership abilities

Demonstrated proficiency in repair troubleshooting, shop operations, testing of jet engines, and support equipment tooling

Ability to make formal presentations to maintenance, engineering, and management at all levels

Project management experience; ability to lead and influence customers and peers

Experience mentoring and transferring technical knowledge; strong written and oral communication

Ability to work independently with technical guidance as needed

High degree of tact and diplomacy to collaborate effectively with customers at all levels

FAA Powerplant license (preferred)

Additional Information The base pay range for this position is $100,000.00‑133,000.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary. This role requires access to U.S. export‑controlled information.
