Temporary Staff – Health Education Data Entry Temporary staff employees are ineligible to receive benefits (leave, health coverage, State service credit, etc.). They are, however, covered by Worker's Compensation provisions.

However, any non‑permanent employee hired to work 30 or more hours per week for three months or more (cumulative of all positions, and not designated as variable hour worker), must be offered the chance to enroll in the High Deductible Health Plan within 30 days of their eligibility. Any non‑permanent employee hired to work less than 30 hours per week (cumulative of all positions or designated as variable hour worker – i.e. student workers) are measured during designated measurement periods. If they average 30 or more hours per week over a designated measurement period, they will be offered the chance to enroll in the High Deductible Health Plan and will be notified of instructions.

Eligibility for High Deductible Health Plan

Temporary hourly workers (eligibility based on FTE, duration of more than 30 days) with FTE .75+ (cumulative of all jobs) or measured full‑time, are offered the high deductible health insurance.

Temporary salaried workers (regardless of the FTE, duration of more than 30 days) reported as full‑time are offered the high deductible health insurance.

Work hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; Monday – Friday with occasional evening and weekend hours required, as necessary.

Pay Rate $22.50 per hour.

Qualifications Graduation from high school or completion of its equivalency and one (1) year of related administrative/office experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education

1‑2 years of experience working in a human resources or related business office environment handling high‑volume data entry of personnel actions and/or payroll actions.

Demonstrated data entry accuracy and efficiency with strong attention to detail.

Current or previous experience working with Banner HR or related automated payroll system.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize work within established deadlines.

Ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies to ensure data integrity.

Duties and Responsibilities This position is responsible for the accurate and timely data entry of employment, leave, and/or pay‑related actions (new hire, promotion, horizontal, special payment, leave of absence, LWOP, separation, etc.) associated with all University employee designations (faculty, staff, non‑student temporary, and student).

Ensures/maintains data integrity for information that is manually and automatically entered into Banner HR and employee personnel records.
