The role of Operations Analysis &Performance (OAP) is to support this mission by providing strategic insights byfirst understanding business processes and then leveraging data and analyticsto drive continuous improvement efforts. We are looking for data curiouscandidates that seek to understand process and can connect with our businesspartners to leverage data and drive improvement, and are able to take a projectfrom end-to-end: gathering business requirements, working with all contributorsto the project, and delivering results to the stakeholder without muchoversight from a supervisor.

Responsibilities:

Locate and extract data from a variety of sources for use in analysis, models and project development

Aggregate views of data sources into meaningful hierarchies

Leverage emerging technologies and identify efficient and meaningful ways to communicate data and analysis in order to satisfy divisional needs.

Partner with Information Technology and Business Intelligence groups to optimize and enhance the database environment for optimal efficiency and best practices

Develop and improve automated reports and analyses to support senior divisional leaders and business units

Represent and verbalize OAP viewpoints at cross-divisional meetings

Demonstrate the tenets of a strong safety culture within our business

Create insightful executive-level dashboards using data visualization tools

Support process improvement and project management engagement for both individual business units and cross-divisional initiatives

Be an expert in the data environments and automation process involved in daily reporting as well as ensure weekday and weekend delivery of reporting via automated processes

Present findings to OAP and divisional leaders

Train and mentor other team members in various skillsets and subjects

Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures

Have a team-first attitude with the success of our team and business partners as the top priority

Be intellectually curious, ask questions and speak up when they have an idea

Be independent workers who look for problems to solve, come up with innovative ideas, and drive implementation of solutions

Enjoy working in a high-profile environment with fluid priorities, ambiguity and aggressive deadlines

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

Successful candidates will have familiarity and/or experience with some or all of the following: SQL, SAS, R, Tableau or other database interface tools and languages

Advanced level ability to manipulate data using programming language and to create complex queries

Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously and manage multiple requests with varying timelines.

Ability to provide occasional off-hour support for break-fix issues.

Strong self-starter with a resilient, solution-minded approach to complex problems

Must be comfortable working in group and individual settings

Previous airline or corporate safety experience preferred

Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.

Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.

Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science, Business/Management, Mathematics/Statistics, Economics or other relevant quantitative field and 3+ years of related experience

Advanced level ability to manage a reporting database environment, troubleshoot, and automate reporting within Teradata and SAS or Python preferred
