Overview As CohnReznick grows, we are offering a Manager position within our Valuation Advisory practice. This role supports real‑estate appraisal and advisory services, ensuring accurate valuations for clients across a range of industries.

Hybrid Work Most professionals are located within commuting distance to our offices. This position is hybrid, with an average of three in‑office days per week, allowing for intentional collaboration while maintaining flexibility.

Your Team You'll join the Valuation Advisory group, interacting with team members across all levels and managing engagements from start to finish.

Role Responsibilities (not limited to):

Work with the Real Estate team to manage outbound appraisals and fair‑value studies.

Supervise all aspects of VAS engagements, coordinating work across multiple service lines.

Serve as the day‑to‑day point person on engagements; lead meetings and calls with clients and target management.

Understand and manage firm risk on projects.

Manage client expectations regarding deliverables, deadlines and change efforts.

Develop and maintain strong client relationships and cross‑sell services.

Work closely with managers and partners to identify and resolve client problems quickly.

Communicate verbally and in writing with internal and external clients at all organizational levels.

Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).

Audit Assist

Collaborate with the Assurance Team to review and prepare documentation for fair‑value measurements (ASC 820, 805, 360, 842).

Adhere to best‑practice guidance issued by FASB, SEC, PCAOB, AICPA and the Appraisal Foundation.

Communicate best practices to assurance teams and external clients and assist core assurance teams with valuation concepts and guidance.

Work independently with little to no support assistance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).

5+ years of related experience in a consulting practice or audit firm.

Certified General Appraiser License or MAI and/or CPA, CVA, CFA, ASA or other related valuation credentials.

Strong technical background in appraisals, valuations for financial reporting, general real‑estate consulting; litigation experience a plus.

Strong written, communication and math skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and simultaneous projects in a rapidly growing practice.

Strong leadership, recruitment, training and mentoring.

Proven business development experience.

Ability to travel as needed.

Compensation In Maryland, the salary range for an Advisory Manager is $100,000 to $180,000. Compensation depends on skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
