Position Overview: As the Regional Director you will lead, develop, support, and audit the multiple residential sites across Dakota County within the 24HR Community Residential Setting (CRS) program at Residential Transitions Inc. The CRS department serves participants with a diagnosis of a mental illness, developmental disabilities and/or a brain injury. This role works closely with program managers and the executive team to ensure the department delivers the highest level of care and support. The Regional Director will analyze all levels of each site and guarantee that RTI fulfills its mission to assist individuals with disabilities in achieving the highest level of independence. Role Responsibilities: Collaborate with managers to guide and assist with training, development, hiring, and performance management of staff at each residential site. Serve as one of the Designated Coordinators for 245D licensing and ensure compliance with licensing timelines and documentation. Maintain staff training requirements in accordance with 245D licensing requirements. Identify and mitigate risks that could impact employees and clients. Make decisions related to selection and admission of new participants to RTI’s CRS program. Oversee 24HR support services, evaluate participants in mental health crises, and implement crisis intervention plans; direct Mental Health Workers in responding to verbal or physical aggression. Ensure compliance with 245D standards, RTI policies, medication systems, and site compliance. Supervise Program Managers, Mental Health Workers, and float staff. Conduct monthly staff meetings. Provide 1:1 direct client care and participate in on‑call rotation as needed. Required Qualification and Experience: The Regional Director must qualify under Minnesota law: a) a bachelor’s degree in a related field and one year of full‑time direct care experience for persons with disabilities or aged 65+, or b) an associate degree and two years of such experience, or c) a diploma and three years, or d) a minimum of 50 hours of education and training in human services and disabilities plus four years of direct care experience supervised by qualified staff. Additional Required Skills: Minimum two years of managerial experience. Pass required background checks and maintain eligibility per Minnesota Department of Human Services. Pass Federal Human Services Office IG screening. Maintain a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and insurance. Preferred Qualification and Experience: At least one year of proven experience in a director‑level management position. Office Setting in Mendota Heights, MN; travel to sites throughout Dakota County required, with mileage reimbursement provided.
