Director of Knowledge Management and Research

to design and implement processes that capture, organize, and operationalize internal knowledge resources including legal precedents, briefs, memos, templates, and research materials. The Director of Knowledge Management and Research will work with practice area leaders and other subject matter experts to inventory, and facilitate use of, the firm’s knowledge resources. This role is also responsible for managing the firm’s library resources and electronic information, providing and overseeing research services to attorneys, and participating in the evaluation and piloting of legal technology, including emerging artificial intelligence applications opportunities and direct creation of content for high quality legal education programs.

Five plus (5+) years of legal practice OR a master’s degree in library science and five plus (5+) years of law firm or legal department experience required.

Hodgson Russ offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefit package, including medical, dental, vision, life, long term disability, flexible spending, 401(k), Paid Time Off, pension plan, and more. At this time, the good faith estimate of the annual salary range for this position, if the successful applicant is based in Buffalo or Rochester is $150,000 to $190,000. Where a successful applicant is slotted within this range will vary based on legitimate criteria, such as experience and skill level.
