The College Possible Marketing and Visibility VISTA program strengthens the organization’s marketing and communications capacity to expand college access and economic mobility for underserved low‑income students. Sponsored by College Possible National through AmeriCorps VISTA, the program improves outreach to students, families, volunteers, donors, and community partners, ensuring high‑need communities can connect with programs that support college persistence and completion. The VISTA member develops and implements sustainable marketing systems, including a digital marketing strategy to increase awareness of College Possible’s mission and programs. This work focuses on strengthening digital channels, website, social media, and email communications and aims for a 10–15% increase in engagement within the first six months. The VISTA also manages regular communications through monthly newsletters and digital campaigns highlighting student success, program updates, and opportunities for involvement. Website and social media improvements ensure consistent messaging, accessible content, and user‑friendly navigation. Scalable tools, templates, outreach calendars, and documented processes allow staff and volunteers to maintain these efforts beyond the service period. The VISTA supports fundraising and outreach by developing marketing materials such as brochures, social media content, and event promotions. Collaboration with program and development teams strengthens donor and partner communications and expands outreach partnerships with schools and community organizations. Through training, documentation, and capacity‑building, the Marketing and Visibility VISTA program ensures lasting impact. Strengthened marketing and communications systems allow College Possible to engage more supporters and reach more students, advancing access to college and long‑term economic mobility.

Member Duties The AmeriCorps VISTA member will strengthen College Possible’s marketing and communications capacity to expand access to college for underserved low‑income students. They will develop and implement a digital marketing strategy, manage regular communications through newsletters and social media, and improve website content for consistent, accessible messaging. The member will create scalable marketing materials, templates, and guides for fundraising and outreach, and train staff and volunteers to sustain these efforts after the service term. They will also support partnerships with schools and community organizations to increase engagement with students, volunteers, donors, and partners, ensuring lasting organizational capacity and broader reach for College Possible programs.
