Find your next opportunity today!**Description of Work**The Office of the State Fire Marshal is seeking a dynamic, experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee HR operations. This position will manage all facets of human resources, including but not limited to classification, recruitment, benefits, time administration, employee relations, personnel actions, policy interpretation, and payroll. This position will also serve as a consultant to OSFM employees and OSFM Executive Leadership.**Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences**Recruitment Range: $67,996 - $110,000The ideal candidate should have the following* Thorough knowledge of comprehensive principles and practices of human resource management in designated areas; management concepts, principles, methods, and practices; state and federal rules and laws; equal opportunity guidelines, personnel administration; supervisory principles and practices.* Experience in planning, directing, and coordinating the work and activities of staff* Experience with State Human Resources policies and personnel systems.* Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in evaluating personal and confidential situations* Strong analytical skills and excellent oral and written communication skills**Minimum Education and Experience**Some state job postings say you can qualify by an “equivalent combination of education and experience.” If that language appears below, then you may qualify through EITHER years of education OR years of directly related experience, OR a combination of both.
