Job Summary This position is designed to support the specialized career development needs of Full-Time MBA students. The role is fully dedicated to serving this population by developing, organizing, and delivering strategic networking and career opportunities with employers actively seeking MBA talent. The position operates within a fast-paced, externally focused environment that emphasizes relationship-building and employer engagement.

The role reports to the Associate Director of the Career Management Center and is physically based within the Jindal School of Management Career Management Center.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in related field

Three plus years relevant professional experience

Any equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Education and Experience

MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred

Five (5) years of experience in corporate management, human resources, or recruiting

Extensive experience in corporate, HR, or talent acquisition environments

Strong knowledge of career development, career counseling, job search strategies, and current job market trends

Demonstrated experience in employer relations, contemporary recruitment practices, and career services trends

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Knowledge of corporate business practices, employer expectations, MBA hiring processes, and current career development and recruitment trends

Ability to establish credibility and trust with MBA students and effectively guide career decision-making

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including advanced resume and professional document development

Demonstrated ability to operate independently with initiative, self-motivation, and minimal supervision; exhibits persistence and a results-driven mindset

Expertise in training, education, curriculum development, and instructional design for professional and career development programming

Proven ability to design, build, and sustain career programs, initiatives, and momentum from concept through execution

Experience in business development, client relationship management, employer engagement, and consistent professional networking

Demonstrated ability to present, teach, persuade, and influence effectively in both individual and group settings

Strong organizational skills with the ability to track data, analyze performance, and report outcomes using metrics and KPIs

Ability to work effectively with challenging individuals and manage high-pressure or stressful situations with professionalism and discretion

Broad understanding of business functions and industries, with the ability to translate that knowledge into meaningful career guidance and employer partnerships

Other Qualifications To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Professional Development

Work with students to identify career direction based on individual goals, marketability, and current job market trends

Create and deliver programs and events that educate student groups on industry insights, job search strategies, and professional development

Participate fully in Summer Academy and provide support for MBA Lead Camp (two-week Full-Time MBA training program in August)

Guide students in developing high-quality resumes, LinkedIn profiles, cover letters, company target lists, and job search timelines; collaborate with MBA Career Coaches to ensure quality and consistency across all Full-Time MBA deliverables

Track and monitor individual student progress and communicate status related to internship and full-time employment opportunities

Assess and understand the needs of Full-Time MBA students and proactively identify internship and full-time employment opportunities aligned with those needs

Collaborate with the MBA team to identify employer-specific opportunities and ensure students are informed of opportunities provided by the JSOM Career Management Center and alumni network

Provide direction and influence students' career decision-making when guidance is needed

Employer Engagement

Partner with the Associate Director of CMC to expand and strengthen employer relationships by increasing the number of companies participating in UT Dallas MBA hiring programs, including developing and ranking targeted employer lists

Create, develop, and maintain strategic relationships with organizations that actively hire MBA talent

Conduct outreach through employer calls, meetings, and on-site engagements as a core responsibility of the role

Facilitate the referral and submission of Full-Time MBA resumes to employer partners

Plan, develop, and manage employer-focused programming each semester, including workshops, coffee chats, industry panels, lunch-and-learn sessions, site visits, and professional networking events for Full-Time MBA students

Identify and respond to employer hiring needs by proactively sourcing internship and full-time employment opportunities for Full-Time MBA students

Metrics

Collaborate with the Associate Director of CMC to compile and maintain weekly, monthly, semester, and annual key performance indicators (KPIs), including MBA salary outcomes and placement data
