Job Description

This role involves leading client relationships by providing expert accounting guidance, overseeing financial processes, and ensuring timely and accurate deliverables. It requires strong collaboration within a team environment, including mentoring, supervising staff, and improving operational efficiency. The position also includes managing audits, tax filings, budgeting, and client onboarding while identifying opportunities for service expansion and maintaining high?quality client service.

Responsibilities
  • Lead client relationships as the primary contact, offering accounting guidance and ensuring accurate, on?time deliverables.
  • Oversee financial reporting, audits, tax filings, and fee calculations, ensuring compliance with fund documents and accounting policies.
  • Evaluate and improve financial processes, manage client onboarding, and align expectations using best practices.
  • Manage billing, monitor engagement economics, supervise direct reports, and identify opportunities to expand services across IQEQ segments.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment through mentoring, training, and active participation in meetings and departmental initiatives.

  • Salary range: $195,000??$280,000, depending on experience and location.
Qualifications
  • 20+ years of experience in alternative investment management (hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, or real estate), bachelors degree in accounting, and an active CPA license.
  • Deep expertise in fund accounting and financial reporting, ideally with in?house experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple client engagements with strong attention to detail and multitasking.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with QuickBooks, Bill.com, Expensify, NetSuite, and Sage.
