IU Health Medical Group is seeking an experienced Hospitalist Leader for IU Health Fishers Hospital located in Fishers, IN, one of the top-ranked suburbs of Indianapolis! This position is responsible for overseeing all clinical, scheduling, educational, and administrative activities. The Site Director reports directly to the Hospitalist Service Line Leader, and is responsible for the clinical, educational, and administrative activities of the local hospitalist physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (NPs & PAs). This individual is also responsible for participating in—and overseeing—relevant performance and/or practice improvement, LEAN management, and quality/safety initiatives at their specific hospital, as well as being an active participant in various hospital committees. This individual will also be responsible for providing direct patient care, teaching medical trainees, and promoting or conducting research activities at their facility (if relevant). The Site Director will be responsible for assisting program leadership in recruiting and maintaining adequate provider staffing, and will also monitor provider scheduling, in conjunction with administrative support staff. This individual will be expected to attend relevant hospital and hospitalist program meetings. Protected administrative and leadership duty time will be scheduled and compensated.
Full-time, Monday-Friday schedule, occasional nights and weekends
Provide strategic leadership for the Quality/Safety Department in collaboration with the Director of Quality
75% clinical FTE, 25% administrative/leadership
Dual employment with IUSM, faculty position with opportunities for teaching
Qualifications
Internal Medicine ABIM BE/BC
Minimum three years Hospitalist (Internal Medicine) experience, required
Interest and (preferably) documented experience in effecting and leading organizational change and managing a diverse workforce
