Addison Group is partnering with our client to hire a Director of Member Services to lead all membership strategy, engagement, and retention initiatives. This role is responsible for strengthening relationships across a diverse member base, modernizing membership processes, and serving as a strategic advisor to executive leadership. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking association professional who thrives in environments ready for fresh ideas, improved systems, and scalable growth. This position blends strategy with hands‑on execution and offers meaningful visibility with leadership, board members, and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
Lead all membership recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and retention efforts Develop and implement strategies to grow and sustain a member base of approximately 500 organizations Serve as a key partner to executive leadership, providing insights on what is working, what is not, and where improvements are needed Oversee membership data, reporting, renewals, and engagement tracking across internal systems Collaborate closely with finance on dues invoicing, renewals, and membership-related reporting Manage and mentor membership staff and coordinate with external vendors as needed Partner cross‑functionally with marketing, events, education, and training teams to enhance member value Lead the planning and execution of member‑focused events, networking programs, and engagement initiatives Act as a visible, relationship‑driven representative of the organization at events and industry functions Support annual budgeting, KPI reporting, and strategic planning efforts related to membership growth Qualifications:
7–10 years of experience in membership, client services, account management, or association leadership roles Prior experience within nonprofit, association, or membership‑based organizations strongly preferred Proven success driving membership growth, engagement, and retention Previous people management or supervisory experience required Strategic mindset with the ability to identify challenges and propose innovative solutions Strong relationship‑building and communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM or database systems Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered Additional Details:
