SUMMARY:
The Director of Process Excellence leads the Quality Assurance (QA) and Training (Learning & Development) functions for the SIS Revenue Cycle Services (RCS) Team. This strategic role is responsible for building and sustaining a comprehensive quality and training program that ensures consistent, efficient, accurate, and compliant delivery of RCS operations. The Director oversees the QA Manager and Learning & Development Manager, guiding their teams to drive operational excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement across all revenue cycle workflows.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quality Assurance Leadership
Design, implement, and maintain a robust QA framework aligned to RCS workflows (Intake, Billing, Payment Posting, AR).
Oversee audits to evaluate accuracy, compliance, and workflow adherence across all revenue cycle areas.
Develop audit scoring tools, audit calendars, benchmarks, and reporting dashboards for internal stakeholders.
Review documentation quality, encounter integrity, compliance, and AR follow-up standards.
Identify trends, root causes, and performance gaps; recommend and drive corrective and preventive actions.
Training & Development
Oversee role‑specific training programs for all revenue cycle functions, including new hire onboarding and cross‑training.
Maintain SOPs, workflow guides, competency tests, and training modules tailored to AR follow‑up guidelines, claim submission processes, payer rules, and denial management.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content reflects regulatory requirements, payer updates, and SIS system enhancements.
Measure training effectiveness by evaluating learner performance and post‑training quality outcomes.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
Lead quality‑driven process optimization for claim scrubbing, charge capture, coding workflows, billing cycles, and follow‑up strategies.
Evaluate workflow bottlenecks and quality‑rework drivers; develop sustainable solutions with operations leadership.
Partner with Product and Technology teams to identify system enhancements (e.g., automation, validation rules).
Oversee root cause analyses for recurring denials, coding inaccuracies, and billing defects.
Directly supervise the QA Manager and Learning & Development Manager, and their respective teams across U.S. and India.
Build a culture of accuracy, compliance, continuous improvement, and people‑first leadership aligned to SIS values.
Present audit findings, training outcomes, and quality trends to RCS executives and cross‑functional partners.
Serve as a strategic advisor on quality risks, readiness for new service lines, and operational scalability.

EDUCATION DESIRED
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, HIM, Education, or related field (or equivalent experience).
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
7+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations, with at least 3 years in QA/training leadership.
Deep understanding of ASC and/or hospital revenue cycle workflows including coding, billing, posting, AR, and denial management.
Experience designing training programs and QA frameworks for revenue cycle teams.
Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret audit results, identify trends, and define improvement strategies.
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Commitment to process excellence, compliance, and staff development.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS PREFERRED
Professional certifications such as CPC, CPB, CCA, RHIT, CHFP, or similar.
Experience working with SIS/SN platforms or similar healthcare RCM systems.
Experience with LMS tools, QA scoring systems, and workflow automation solutions.
