An opportunity is available for an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to support both adult and pediatric surgical patients in a dynamic medical center setting. This contract position offers a 10-hour day shift with variable start times and no block scheduling, providing flexibility within a structured schedule. The role demands dedication and specialized skills to contribute to a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality surgical care. Key Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience as an OR RN, including pediatric experience BLS certification required; CNOR preferred Proficiency with Epic EMR system Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred Degree accreditation or a minimum of 5 years relevant nursing experience Ability to float to different units and potentially to sister campuses within a 50-mile radius Must be willing to participate in call rotations averaging around four per month, including evening and overnight shifts Strong commitment to teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced environment Location Overview:Situated in the vibrant community of Punta Gorda, Florida, this position offers a scenic and welcoming environment near the coast. Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care for a variety of surgical specialties including ENT, general surgery, vascular, endovascular, robotics, dental, gynecology, orthopedics, spine, and neurosurgery Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes Participate actively in call rotations to provide timely surgical support during extended hours Adhere to facility protocols while maintaining a high standard of patient care and safety Additional Information:This contract position offers the chance to function as a core team member, with a culture emphasizing inclusion and collaboration.
