Porter/Detailer
DARCARS Automotive Group is now seeking a Porter/Detailer! In this role, you will play an extremely important role in customer satisfaction and the overall continued success of our company. In this role, you are responsible for lane management and will perform various tasks and errands for the dealership service department. In this role, you'll: Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner Greet every customer with a smile Direct customers to their desired destinations when parking or retrieving their vehicles Assist with service write-up and tagging of customer vehicles Assist with efficient vehicle flow within the dealership as service tickets are generated Assist Advisors and Technicians by moving client vehicles to and from the shop and anything else they may need to complete the service visit Provide shuttle service to customers, when requested Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its employees or customers Maintain cleanliness of service area, keeping floor clean and dry, as necessary Be responsible for garbage removal Clean driveway and walkways, removing debris, ice, and snow, as necessary Comply with DARCARS policies and procedures Assist in dealer exchanges Other duties as assigned For this role, you'll need: Strong communication skills with both customers and DARCARS employees Demonstrated commitment to customer service Requires a High School diploma or equivalent (GED) Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs Must have visual acuity that meets Maryland MVA requirements in order to operate company and customer vehicles Ability to work outdoors and on your feet for extended periods of time in various weather conditions Ability to operate manual transmission is highly preferred Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving record Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background) Benefits: Insurance: medical, vision, dental Short-term and long-term disability plans Life Insurance 401(k) PTO and Paid Holidays Employee discounts on vehicle purchases, parts and service repairs Opportunities to join our community service initiatives This job advertisement in no way states or implies that these are the only duties and responsibilities to be performed by this employee.
