Wagners Composite Fibre Technologies (CFT) is expanding across North America, backed by significant investment in new plant and increased manufacturing capacity at our Cresson, Texas facility. As utilities modernise their networks and seek long-life, low-maintenance alternatives to traditional materials, we are growing our US team and looking for a Sales Engineer to help accelerate adoption of our Fibre Reinforced Polymer (FRP) utility poles, crossarms, and electrical infrastructure solutions. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role that blends engineering expertise with commercial drive. You'll work closely with electric utilities, EPCs, contractors, and distributorsproviding technical leadership, developing new business, and guiding projects from early engagement through to installation and long-term success. What You'll Be Doing Identify and develop new opportunities across electrical utilities, EPCs, contractors, distributors, and government agencies Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with utilities, sales agents, and channel partners Lead tenders and proposals, including technical, commercial, and compliance documentation Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and lunch-and-learns Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules Maintain accurate forecasting, CRM records, and pipeline visibility Represent Wagners CFT at industry events, trade shows, and conferences Support marketing initiatives with technical insights, case studies, and field learnings Technical Support & Engineering Consultation Conduct internal and customer-facing design reviews Translate utility requirements into practical engineering and commercial solutions Support technical documentation, drawings, installation guides, and client approvals Coordinate and manage utility trials and field installations Provide on-site installation and commissioning support as required Capture field feedback and manage projects through the full lifecycle Maintain and update technical libraries, including inputs for pole design software (e.g. PLS) Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and external testing bodies on product development and optimisation Support troubleshooting and design refinement during project execution Market Intelligence & Project Coordination Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments Provide actionable market insights to support strategy and product development Support project schedules, delivery milestones, and customer expectations through proactive communication About You You're comfortable balancing technical detail with commercial outcomes, and you enjoy being out in the field building relationships and solving customer challenges. Ideally, you'll have: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline) 3+ years' experience in technical sales or engineering within utilities, energy, or infrastructure Strong technical aptitude and ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications Familiarity with utility pole materials, installation practices, and design tools (e.g. PLS) Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills A customer-focused, solution-oriented mindset Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 50% of the role) Why Join Wagners CFT?
