Automotive Service Writer
The Automotive Service Writer position at the City of Tucson's General Services Department provides customer service and performs clerical duties related to automotive fleet services. Work is performed under the supervision of the Fleet Services Supervisor. This position does not supervise. Duties and responsibilities include: Provides customer service, greets customers, gathers vehicle and contact information. Schedules service appointments and create work orders for service and repair. Communicate with customers and vendors about progress of repairs. Monitors vehicles and reports for completion of repairs. Scans invoices, emissions documents and vehicle discrepancy reports and attaches to asset files and work orders. Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned. Working conditions as follows: Work schedule may require early morning, late evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime. Often works under the following conditions: Indoor and outdoor work with some exposure to light physical or environmental conditions (noise, dust, weather, etc.). All duties and responsibilities listed are subject to change. Minimum qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent Work experience: One (1) year of relevant experience. Equivalency: Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. Valid and unrestricted Arizona Class D Driver License
