Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site role located in Southfield, MI, for a Financial Aid Advisor. The Financial Aid Advisor will assist prospective and current students in navigating financial aid options and processes. Responsibilities include evaluating financial aid applications, advising students on student financial aid programs, ensuring compliance with federal Title IV regulations, and collaborating with other departments to support enrollment management. Additionally, the Financial Aid Advisor will provide exceptional customer service and maintain accurate records of financial aid activities.
Qualifications
Experience in Finance and Student Financial Aid processes preferred
Experience in Customer Service, with strong interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge of Enrollment Management and counseling students effectively preferred
Familiarity with Title IV policies and compliance preferred
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Associate's degree or higher in a relevant field or equivalent experience
Previous experience in an educational institution or financial aid office is a plus
Self‑motivated and capable of working independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment
Must be eligible to enroll in the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS)
