Total Rewards Specialist**Job Overview****Location/Schedule:**This position is located at the Lloyd Corporate Plaza, located in NE Portland, OR. This position is responsible for researching, overseeing, and administering Cascadia’s Total Reward initiatives.This position must understand, appreciate, and respect the differences within our Cascadia community. Management reserves the right to modify, add or remove duties as necessary*.**General*** Maintain and implement Cascadia Health’s compensation and benefits programs.* Research, design, implement, and maintain compensation and benefits programs to support retention and organizational objectives.* Conduct salary surveys, analyze market data, and benchmark positions to ensure external competitiveness.* Prepare and update salary schedules; evaluate new positions and recommend placement.* Assess job classifications (exempt/nonexempt) and salary ranges; develop job descriptions and maintain accuracy.* Develop cost estimates for compensation initiatives and provide data-driven recommendations.* Prepare reports, dashboards, and data models to support decision-making; as well as analyze trends and provide insights to improve programs.* Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of employee compensation and benefits data.* Partner with recruitment team to review and approve job offers.* Support committees related to compensation and benefits.* Manage health and welfare plans, including compliance, government reporting, and vendor relationships.* Provide employee support for benefits eligibility, enrollment, and plan changes.* Oversee annual open enrollment, including system setup, testing, communications, and issue resolution.* Monitor regulatory changes and update policies and plan documents as needed.* Maintain benefits administration systems and ensure data integrity.* Develop communication materials and assist with educating employees about compensation and benefits programs.**Regulatory & Compliance*** Administer total rewards programs and policies in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.* Monitor benefit plan compliance, manage government reporting, and ensure adherence to regulations.* Prepare compensation and benefits reports, dashboards, and data models to support decision-making.* Maintain accurate and timely employee data related to compensation and benefits.* Conduct Equal Pay analyses at least every three years.* Stay current on laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.* Serve as primary contact for regulatory agencies on compensation matters.* Develop procedures and systems aligned with organizational goals and mission.* Complete annual employee training requirements on a timely basis.* Attend and participate in all meetings as assigned, including but not limited to staff and team meetings, consultations with staff, individual and team meetings.* Participate in regular safety drills in compliance with policies and procedures.* Adhere to mandatory abuse reporting laws and HIPAA requirements.* Complete annual employee training requirements on a timely basis as indicated per agency requirements.* Perform other duties as assigned.**Qualifications****Education:****Required:*** Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, Finance or related field**Experience:****Required:*** AMinimum 2 years of relevant experience in benefits and compensation is required**Preferred:*** Prior experience working within HRIS systems; Workday.* Experience in healthcare and nonprofit environments.**Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*** Effective communication and active listening skills.* Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills* Strong interpersonal skills* Basic knowledge of federal, state, and local labor law.* Ability to communicate complex information in an understandable and succinct manner.* Results-oriented and self-motivated* Excellent organization, planning skills, and attention to detail* Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information* Operate computer hardware and software at a level needed to effectively perform job functions.**Other:*** Must have the ability to travel to multiple locations throughout the Portland Metro area.* Ability to perform CPR, First Aid, and effectively use AED equipment. CPR/ First Aid certifications are required and must remain current.**Working Conditions****Environmental:** Work is performed in one or more of the following: administrative office, clinical office, acute care settings and community setting including client residences, correctional facilities, shelters, hospitals, public places and other social service sites. Meal periods and breaks are subject to interruption. Universal Precautions and remaining alert to the environment are critical to address the potential for aggressive behavior, exposure to disease, biohazards, noise, and contaminants.**Mental Demands**: The work assigned is diverse and involves addressing new and unusual circumstances. The work regularly involves a degree of unpredictability and disruption of planned tasks requiring a flexible time management approach.
