Senior Technical Project Manager (Web & Digital Marketing)
Overview
You love turning digital ideas into action. You’re great at organizing, planning, and keeping things moving forward. You’re comfortable in a fast‑paced agency environment, working closely with developers, designers, and strategists to bring websites and digital campaigns to life. This is a full‑time role, hybrid work model, based in Tysons, VA (three days in office per week), helping support web builds and digital marketing initiatives, while supporting brand and creative projects as needed.
Roles and Responsibilities
Own and manage the end‑to‑end delivery of multiple web development projects across multiple clients
Act as the primary technical liaison between web developers, internal teams, and Client Services
Lead Agile Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, reviews, and retrospectives
Create, assign, prioritize, and manage development tickets in Jira to balance workloads and meet delivery timelines
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, capacity plans, and release timelines throughout the project lifecycle
Proactively identify technical risks, dependencies, and scope changes; communicate impacts and mitigation strategies to stakeholders
Partner with Client Services to manage scope, budget, and profitability, adjusting plans as needed and build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and clients
Perform hands‑on QA of WordPress builds, including validating requirements, testing functionality, and identifying defects
Triage, troubleshoot, and help resolve technical issues related to WordPress themes, plugins, integrations, hosting environments, and deployments
Ensure readiness for launches and releases across development, staging, and production environments
Establish clear expectations for deliverables, acceptance criteria, and quality standards and maintain consistent processes, documentation, and best practices across projects
Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery processes, tools, and methodologies
Skills and Talents
8+ years of project management or web/digital production experience; agency background is a plus
Proven ability to independently run complex web development projects in an agency or client‑services environment
Deep understanding of WordPress websites, including themes, plugins, CMS workflows, and common hosting environments
Experience with project management tools such as Jira (required), plus Figma, Marker.io, Trello, or Asana
Demonstrated experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and delivery in iterative cycles
Strong communication skills for bridging gaps between clients, strategists, designers, and developers
Comfort with budgeting, resourcing, and scoping web and digital marketing initiatives
