Reporting Structure This role will be reporting into Global Commercial Analytics / AI Acceleration & Specialty Care Pod in the Commercial Forward Impact Engineering and Engagement team.
Role Overview The Commercial Forward Impact Engineering and Engagement Product Manager drives innovation by closely working with Commercial business stakeholders and a team of engineers to translate prioritized business opportunities into rapid prototypes and minimum viable products (MVPs). The role blends business engagement with technical execution, enabling Pfizer to accelerate delivery, reduce complexity, and create measurable value. Operating at the intersection of Commercial business priorities, technical design, and product delivery, the Product Manager advances concepts into validated solutions that enable decision‑making on further scale across the enterprise. The role has responsibility for managing stakeholder relationships, shaping product strategies, and ensuring solutions meet both technical rigor and customer needs within the dedicated Pod domain.
The role focuses on hands‑on product leadership—establishing a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmaps, and ensuring that prototypes and MVPs are built, tested, and refined efficiently. You will collaborate closely with commercial stakeholders to align priorities, gather feedback, and adapt solutions to maximize business value, all while fostering a culture of creativity, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
Role Responsibilities
Lead the development of AI and data‑driven digital products through rapid prototyping and MVP‑first approaches to validate concepts and accelerate time‑to‑value.
Define and communicate a clear product vision and strategy that prioritizes speed, experimentation, and learning through iterative delivery.
Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams—including engineering, design, and business stakeholders—to quickly test hypotheses and refine product direction based on user feedback and data.
Establish and manage a lean product roadmap focused on delivering high‑impact features with minimal viable scope, while maintaining flexibility to pivot based on insights.
Drive agile ceremonies and sprint planning with a focus on short cycles, fast feedback loops, and continuous improvement.
Champion a culture of experimentation, encouraging A/B testing, user research, and analytics to inform product decisions.
Ensure MVPs are scalable and extensible, laying the groundwork for future enhancements while meeting immediate business needs.
Oversee the creation of user stories, prototypes, and wireframes that reflect user‑centric design principles and solve real‑world problems.
Manage stakeholder expectations by clearly communicating trade‑offs, timelines, and outcomes of MVP launches.
Foster a team environment that embraces ambiguity, adapts quickly to change, and thrives on delivering tangible results in compressed timeframes.
Primary stakeholders: Global Commercial Analytics group, Specialty BU – Rare Disease / Inflammation & Immunology and AI Acceleration Team – Tier 1/2 programs.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
8+ years of product management experience, with a strong emphasis on rapid prototyping, MVP development, and agile delivery.
Proven success in launching MVPs and iterating based on user feedback and performance metrics.
Deep understanding of lean product development, agile methodologies, and user‑centered design.
Experience working in fast‑paced environments where speed and adaptability are critical.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable product decisions.
Excellent communication and storytelling skills to align diverse stakeholders around MVP goals and outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to lead without authority through ambiguity and deliver high‑impact solutions quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or Master’s degree in strategy, innovation, or a related field.
Certification in Agile, Scrum, or Lean Startup methodologies.
Experience with design thinking, prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch), and analytics platforms.
Background in healthcare, pharma, or regulated industries with experience navigating compliance in MVP delivery.
Experience managing distributed teams and driving alignment across global stakeholders.
Previous Management Consulting experience in a top consulting firm is a big plus.
Candidate Leadership Experience The candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
Non‑Standard Work Schedule, Travel or Environment Requirements Travel to Pfizer offices, vendor offices and other team meeting locations as required. Project work can sometimes be demanding and require work during off‑hours.
Work Location Assignment Hybrid.
Salary and Benefits The annual base salary ranges from $162,900.00 to $261,000.00. The position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in the share‑based long‑term incentive program.
Benefits include a 401(k) plan with Pfizer matching contributions and an additional Pfizer retirement savings contribution, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits (medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage).
