Overview The Director of Financial Operations serves as a senior financial leader for

Northwest Family of Brands , responsible for directing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial analysis across the organization.

This role ensures timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting while guiding fiscal decision‑making that supports operational excellence, growth initiatives, and long‑term strategic goals. The Director partners closely with field leadership, corporate teams, and executive leadership to provide data‑driven insights, strengthen financial processes, and improve operational performance.

This position requires the ability to perform a wide variety of related and unrelated duties as needed. The role is classified as exempt and may require work outside of regular business hours. Travel may be required (estimated up to 30‑40%).

Responsibilities Financial Planning & Analysis

Lead the development, execution, and continuous refinement of annual budgets and rolling financial forecasts.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual profitability analyses and reconcile forecasts with actual operating results.

Identify and report variances, trends, and key performance insights with clear explanations and recommended actions.

Develop budgeting tools and templates and deliver financial training to branch and regional management on financial concepts that impact and drive performance.

Provide strategic financial leadership related to acquisitions, investments, market expansion, and other high‑impact business decisions.

Recommend and monitor financial benchmarks and key performance indicators used to measure operational and financial success.

Reporting, Analysis & Financial Administration

Assist and deliver timely, accurate financial reports for internal stakeholders and executive leadership.

Conduct detailed financial analyses with emphasis on long‑term planning and operational forecasting.

Partner with field and corporate teams to ensure consistent understanding and application of financial policies, procedures, and tools.

Support continuous improvement of financial processes, controls, and reporting practices.

Leadership & Cross‑Functional Partnership

Serve as a trusted financial advisor to senior leadership, providing insights that inform strategic and operational decisions.

Coach, guide, and support teammates to ensure consistent execution of financial processes and policy adherence.

Collaborate cross‑functionally to troubleshoot financial and operational challenges, streamline workflows, and support company‑wide initiatives.

Lead or participate in special projects, analyses, and strategic initiatives as assigned.

Other Duties

Contribute to corporate strategic planning and ad‑hoc initiatives as needed.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong understanding of operational financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis.

Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.

Proficiency in financial modeling, variance analysis, and advanced Excel; familiarity with financial systems and reporting tools.

Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present financial information to both financial and non‑financial audiences.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accuracy, and handle sensitive and confidential information.

Demonstrated ability to improve financial processes, strengthen internal controls, and collaborate effectively across departments.

Ability to coach and support leaders and teammates in understanding financial policies, procedures, and tools.

Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment.

Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree required; Finance or Accounting strongly preferred.

Demonstrated experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and operational analysis.

Proven ability to partner with non‑financial leaders and influence decision‑making through data‑driven insights.

High level of integrity, attention to detail, and professional judgment.

Physical Demands

May occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Regularly required to sit, stand, and perform repetitive motions; may occasionally be required to walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch.

Requires close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Work Environment

Travel may be required up to approximately 35%.

Supervisory Requirements Supervision Received:

Reports directly to the President and may receive direction from executive leadership.

Supervision Exercised:

May provide oversight and leadership to financial, accounting, or related operational support functions as the role evolves.
