About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP, Federal Government Sales to lead a small team and drive business growth in the Federal space. The successful candidate will be responsible for exceeding aggressive sales goals, hiring, training, and leading the sales team, and will be expected to have a proven track record in selling to Federal Government Agencies, particularly in the DOD and Civilian sectors. This role requires a deep understanding of the Federal market, including GWACs, and experience in high-growth enterprise software or software-related services businesses. The VP will be a key player in crafting the Federal sales and partnering strategy, working closely with the GVP, Sales, and other teams to ensure a coordinated go-to-market approach. Essential duties include supporting the sales team, developing and executing sales plans, and representing the company at regional Federal CIO and Analyst conferences.
Candidates for the VP, Federal Government Sales position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 12 years of experience in selling enterprise software and services to the Federal Government market, with a minimum of 5 years in a Federal sales leadership role. The role demands a charismatic executive with an entrepreneurial spirit, a history of sales excellence, and a strong network in the SAP and/or Oracle market. The VP will be responsible for managing a team of high-volume sales reps, so strong team management skills and experience in sales management within the Federal markets are essential.
