Job Summary

The Application Support & Solutions Associate Director leads a support team responsible for several general and global functions that fall outside of the core finance and HCM functional teams. The support team has several important responsibilities including: General and global Workday administration and configuration Workday security Administration of key support systems that service the broader Workday and Enterprise Solutions team (WEST) such as ITSM, dev/ops and automated testing Key Responsibilities

Intentionally collaborates with peers across WEST to form a cohesive and well-functioning leadership team May develop and audit institutional budgets and/or financials Directs strategic information technology planning initiatives and establishes objectives for the institution to ensure appropriate use of financial, administrative, staffing resources in alignment with the strategic plan Develops operating policies and procedures to comply with regulations, institutional policies, and unit objectives May perform manager functions Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees Works actively to foster a respectful, inclusive and safe team environment Serves as a liaison representing the interests of the institution to internal and external stakeholders Advises institutional or divisional leadership on information technology operations and business models Qualifications

Strategic and Innovative Thinking - Must be a strategic thinker who can bring innovative approaches to meet business objectives. However, must also be willing and able to think through operational details and how specific needs fit into the overall strategy. Communication - Must be able to effectively communicate with a wide variety of audiences, presenting effectively in varied settings and modalities. Leadership and Teamwork - Must be able lead a team, model good leadership characteristics, and help create an environment that allows the team to succeed. Must build positive relationships with executive leaders, stakeholders, peers and team members. Business and Political Acumen - Must have a solid understanding of how the organization’s business objectives are influenced by industry drivers and trends. Stakeholders may have diverging interests and must understand how the organization operates and how to effectively work within that environment. Management - Must have demonstrated experience effectively managing people and resources, successfully achieving outcomes and providing high quality customer service. Organizational context - Familiarity with the complex needs and challenges of a multi-university system that includes a flagship research university. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in leading solution analysis and definition for cross-functional processes and functions. Compensation

Well qualified applicants can expect to earn between $130,000 - $175,000, with final salary based on experience and qualifications. In addition to salary, this position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including generous paid time off, competitively priced health/dental/vision/life insurance, tax‑advantaged savings accounts, and participation in the nationally recognized Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) pension fund.
