Summary The Department Head of Marketing supports the resort by executing comprehensive marketing initiatives across digital, print, PR, and community channels. This role reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing and closely collaborates with PR partners, Field Marketing, and internal teams to ensure brand‑aligned communications that support revenue goals and enhance the resort's presence within the community and broader Hyatt ecosystem. This role is execution‑focused and deeply connected to operational needs, ensuring timely support for departmental requests, community relationships, and shifting market conditions.

Key Responsibilities Marketing Strategy & Execution

Execute the annual marketing plan in partnership with the DOSM and Field Marketing teams.

Monitor digital performance and collaborate with Field Marketing on optimizations.

Maintain Hyatt brand standards in all marketing materials and messaging.

Creative & Collateral Management

Oversee development and updates of property collateral including menus, signage, flyers, presentations, advertising, and digital assets.

Manage photo/video library; fulfill asset requests for media, partners, and third‑party sites.

Support content creation needs (light video, imagery, copywriting).

Digital & Social Media

Ensure website content remains accurate and up to date.

Manage resort's social media strategy, including content creation, planning, and community engagement on a weekly basis.

Review digital performance insights provided by Field Marketing and adjust property execution as needed.

PR & Media Relations

Partner with PR team to coordinate press visits and ensure on‑property execution.

Assist in local story development and media needs tied to Hyatt initiatives.

Uphold consistent messaging across PR channels.

Community & Partnership Engagement

Strengthen local community relationships and identify new partnerships that elevate the resort.

Represent the resort in local outreach, tourism partnerships, and regional programming via hosting reception/dinner/lunch & Familiarization tours.

Operations & Communication

Support operations by delivering rapid‑turn collateral, signage, and communication pieces.

Communicate marketing updates to DOSM and leadership as appropriate.

Collaborate with Sales, Revenue, Events, and F&B with weekly and monthly meetings.

Administrative Responsibilities

Process marketing invoices and track budget usage.

Oversee the marketing budget, including guest ledger review, invoice processing, and monthly expense tracking in partnership with the Director of Sales & Marketing.

Maintain documentation of marketing initiatives, campaigns, and outcomes.

Manage relationships with external agencies and vendors.

Qualifications

3–6 years of hospitality marketing experience (Hyatt experience preferred).

Strong writing, project management, and organizational skills.

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), Canva, and ChatGPT.

Understanding of digital marketing fundamentals.

Experience collaborating with PR firms, digital teams, and cross‑functional hotel departments.

Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Experienced in Luxury Resorts.

Experienced in Pre‑Opening process.

Experienced in Brand change process.

Must embody a Growth Mindset and be Agile.
