This role is responsible for expanding referral networks, driving admissions, and positioning Seaport Hospice as the provider of choice in the San Diego.**Key Responsibilities*** Develop and execute strategic business development plans to increase hospice referrals and admissions.* Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, case managers, and other referral sources.* Lead and mentor a team of community liaisons and sales professionals.* Conduct market assessments and identify growth opportunities.* Collaborate with clinical and operational leadership to ensure seamless referral and admission processes.* Negotiate service agreements with payers, managed care organizations, and healthcare partners.* Represent Seaport Hospice at community events, professional forums, and outreach initiatives.* Monitor performance metrics and report outcomes to executive leadership.* Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and payer requirements.**Qualifications*** Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).* Minimum 3–5 years of experience in healthcare business development, preferably in hospice or home health.* Proven leadership experience with a track record of driving growth and managing teams.* Strong understanding of hospice care models, Medicare eligibility, and referral processes.* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.* Proficiency in CRM systems and performance reporting tools.* Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.About Seaport HospiceSeaport Hospice is part of the Pennant Group , a nationwide network with over 300 locations.
