What You’ll Do The Tax Accounting & Compliance Director oversees all aspects of U.S. income tax accounting (ASC 740), federal and state tax compliance, and internal tax reporting. This strategic role combines technical leadership with operational oversight, ensuring accurate tax provision reporting, timely and compliant tax filings, and strong governance across domestic and international tax activities. The Director partners closely with global tax, finance, and accounting teams to drive process improvements, strengthen data quality, support audits, and enhance the organization’s overall tax position.

Oversight of the end‑to‑end Federal compliance process including Earnings and profits (E&P) calculations for all subsidiaries, international inclusions, and country‑by‑country reporting

Review of the U.S. consolidated 1120

Review of Federal forms 8858, 8865, 5471 and 1118

Oversight of the monthly, quarterly, and annual state tax compliance process for Consolidated, Unitary and Stand‑alone state income tax returns

Oversight of the quarterly tax planning process

Oversight of the quarterly cash tax forecast

Year‑end income tax provisions (ASC 740) for U.S. reporting entities

Consolidated year‑end income tax provision workpapers, including financial statement footnote

Provide support to model specific tax positions and outcomes

Report re‑design and validation from legacy system to SAP

Oversee the implementation and ongoing management of tax technology solutions, including integrations with ERP and financial systems

Manage relationships with external vendors, service providers and internal IT squads to ensure timely delivery of tax technology projects

Coordinate system upgrades, configuration updates, and troubleshooting to ensure that tax technology platforms are running effectively

Ensure that the tax technology infrastructure remains compliant with local and international tax regulations, including BEPS, Pillar II, and other global tax standards

Work with the tax leadership team to monitor changes in tax regulations and ensure that technology solutions are updated accordingly

Collaborate with others in Finance to ensure efficient data flow

YOU’RE GOOD AT

Expert at federal and state tax compliance with strong technical skills developed in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment, ideally within a global accounting firm or another professional services firm

Outstanding record of demonstrated accomplishments in leading both processes and teams

Managing multiple workstreams with excellent organizational and multitasking skills

Outstanding innovation and collaboration focus

Communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, with technical and non‑technical stakeholders

Outstanding analytical, documentation and records management skills

Familiar with technology tools used in a modern tax environment

What You’ll Bring We expect that the individual will be distinguished in a number of intangible and subtle ways. These include demonstrating an ability to identify issues, solve problems, and find ways to get things done better. The individual must be a team player and an effective contributor in a flexible, truly global environment.

That said there are certain basics that we are looking for. These include:

10+ years of relevant tax compliance experience with increasing responsibilities

CPA and/or MST a plus

Expert in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power Automate, Tableau Prep Builder and Tableau highly regarded

Expert in tax return preparation software, preferably CorpTax, tax research software (BNA) and SAP

Who You’ll Work With As a Tax Director, you will join a specialized seven‑member team dedicated to tax reporting and analysis, within a larger tax department of over thirty professionals. You will also collaborate closely with the wider finance organization that shares aligned objectives and responsibilities. Your work will span daily operational tasks as well as strategic, project‑based initiatives, providing exposure across the full spectrum of tax accounting and compliance.

In the US, we have a compensation transparency approach.

Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, retirement contribution, and a market leading benefits package described below.

The base salary range for this role in CITY is $172,000‑$197,300

This is an estimated range, however, specific base salaries within the range depend on various factors such as experience and skill set. It is not common for new BCG employees to be hired at the high‑end of the salary range. BCG regularly reviews its ranges to ensure market competitiveness.

In addition to your base salary, your total compensation will include a bonus of up to 30% and a generous retirement contribution that starts at 5% and moves to 10% after 2 years.
