Activity Director Qualifications & Responsibilities:
Bachelor’s Degree or completion of certification (or willingness to obtain with our support)
Experience in long-term care, preferably in a supervisory role
Ability to communicate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team
Develop care plans, monitor systems, and meet all documentation requirements
Knowledge of Quality Assurance programs, State survey processes, and Residents’ Rights
Supervise Activity Department personnel
Create, plan, and implement monthly calendars and newsletters
Follow budgetary guidelines for the department
Develop person-centered large and small group programs, hospitality, and sensory activities
Plan and coordinate facility events for residents and staff
Strong computer skills and time management
