This position involves investigating deaths, performing autopsies, conducting pathological and toxicological analyses, and assisting the Medical Examiner with duties as assigned. The role requires responding to emergencies at a variety of hours and locations and performing general supervision over subordinate personnel. Minimum Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine degree from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university. Completion of a residency in pathology and a fellowship in forensic pathology locaties – (?) Special Requirements
Eligibility for a license to practice medicine in the State of New York and possession of a valid license within six (6) months of appointment. Certified by the American Board of Pathology in Forensic Pathology or eligible for certification at the time of appointment; must possess certification with two (2) years of appointment.
