MKTG S+E is looking for a Director, Sponsorship Consulting with expertise in women’s sports and the NFL to work with our roster of Fortune 500 clients. This hybrid role reports into the VP, Sponsorship Consulting and offers an exciting opportunity to shape partnership strategy, activation, and rightsholder management across major properties. You will lead a team of experienced marketers and serve as a strategic and creative partner to 2–3 clients, developing, executing, and measuring high‑impact programs. This role plays a key part in building integrated strategies, managing relationships with key rightsholders and media partners, and driving innovative marketing solutions for some of the biggest sponsors in women’s sports and the NFL.

Responsibilities

Develop integrated strategic solutions that address client challenges

Provide ongoing and proactive strategic counsel to help clients identify and maximize opportunities within the sports and entertainment landscape

Lead and inspire a team of professionals to deliver best‑in‑class work while supporting the growth and development of junior team members

Maintain regular communication and collaboration with clients, rightsholders, and agency partners to ensure alignment and delivery of high‑impact solutions

Collaborate with leagues, teams, sanctioning bodies, and rightsholders to build strong partnership strategies, activation plans, and measurement frameworks

Write and develop client‑ready materials, including POV documents, strategic recommendations, and presentations

Oversee activation programming, including annual and event‑level budgets, ensuring efficient cost management and adherence to client and internal guidelines

Lead the annual activation planning process for 2–3 clients while partnering with senior leadership to shape holistic partnership strategies

Negotiate with local and national rightsholders on behalf of clients to secure mutually beneficial agreements that elevate partnership performance

Contribute to agency new business efforts through brainstorming, presentation development, and pitch participation

Travel up to 25 percent of the time as needed for client meetings, events, and activations

Qualifications

6+ years of sponsorship consulting experience

3+ years of women’s sports and/or NFL experience working on high‑profile sponsorship programs involving properties, clubs, and athlete partnerships.

Experience managing sponsorship programs with other major sports & entertainment properties across multiple industry categories (CPG, Logistics, Financial Services, Auto)

Knowledge of and experience with the full marketing/activation mix – social media, content marketing, influencers, experiential, media and marketing promotions

Create and present high‑level sponsorship concepts to senior client leaders

Comfort managing and delegating daily tasks to junior teammates while ensuring quality and timeliness of all deliverables

Experienced working in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

BA/BS in Marketing related field

Salary and Benefits The annual salary range for this position is $78,000-$126,500. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
